Frankenstein

Mary Shelley's timeless classic; what can I say about a book that has captivated the imaginations of millions? I hated this book. It was dreadful but at least it was short. Nahh, it was actually a halfway decent book but at times I found that the plot took too long to solidify and the twists were easy to guess. The underlying theme of the book seems to be a warning of the dangers of the things we create. The message seems almost orwellian, but lacks the charm of 1984 or Animal Farm. I would give it a 6 out of 10. Readable but not terribly memorable. However, there has to be something said for a book that has been labeled as this one has, A classic.

What Next? I am not sure. Too many books on my agenda to know which one I will finish first.
